Changes: Black Cat

A Black Cat is a special color of cat that can only be created on Halloween (October 31st). This feature was implemented on October 27th 2004^[1] for the Test server and October 29th 2004^[2] to the public.

Creating a Black Cat

To create a black cat, it must be Halloween (October 31st, 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM; Toontown Time). Create a cat toon (gender does not matter). It can be any color, but it cannot be a partial colored Cat (E.G: it cannot have a red head and a blue body, etc. The cat must be one shade of color). Name your cat whatever you wish. Go through the Toontorial, and when you meet up with Flippy, you must say "Toontastic!" to him. (No other phrase will work.) Smoke will cover your Cat, and it will become black.

Me-wow! On October 31, 2004, Toons in Toontown were in for a tricky treat! Anyone who solved Flippy's puzzle and told him the secret word during the Toontorial got a big surprise: they were turned into a black cat! Were the cats bad luck? No way! You still see some around today! Who knows what will happen next Halloween? PS - The secret word was "Toontastic."

Trivia

Cats are the only Toon Species that can be black; no other Toon Species can become black.
Black cats are only available to make on Halloween, a holiday for which they are a very famous symbol. This is due to a very common belief that black cats bring bad luck, likely because witches were often portrayed as having black cats.
Black cats tend to be very common. This is ironic as they are only able to be created one day of the year.
On September 13th, 2013, all toons were temporarily turned into black cats for Friday the 13th.
