Newsletters were originally given out to those who subscribed to Toontown Online. It came with some news, trading cards, stickers, and other freebies. Newsletters were distributed from September 2003 to January 2010 before being replaced with Toon News... for the Amused!
A few months after the game was pubically released in June 2003, Disney started to send out newsletters to those who subscribed to the game. They were sent to the subscriber's address in real life with a unique envelope design and contained information on what was new on Toontown Online.
Disney stopped producing newsletters at the beginning of 2010, which was the same time Toon News... for the Amused! came out.
From August 2003 to December 2006, the newsletters were on single pieces of paper. On the front, it had news, activities, Top Toons, and statistics. On the back was a poster that could be hung on a wall.
From December 2006 to the end of its lifespan, the newsletter became bi-monthly and was changed to four corners of paper with the poster on the other side. It also included a developer spotlight, Toon tips, and more activities.
The "Special Edition" newsletter was a single piece of paper, atlought smaller compared to the old one. It still included five pieces of Series 3 trading cards and a giant fold-out poster.
