Trap Door is the level five Trap gag. It succeeds the Quicksand and precedes the TNT.
Basic Information
Trap door can be obtained by earning a total of 2,000 trap skill points. It does a minimum damage of 60, a maximum damage of 70, and 66-77 when organic, depending on how strong the Trap Door is. It attacks a cog with perfect accuracy. However, in order for it to activate, a Lure gag must be used afterwards. A toon can carry a maximum of five Trap Doors at once.
Experience Points
To determine the next increase in damage for a trap door, take the number of skill points required to obtain the next gag and divide it by the number of increase (the maximum damage - the original damage). You should therefore get an estimate. In equation form:
- Where X represents the skill points for the next gag, Y represents the starting point of this gag, M represents the maximum damage, and O represents the original starting point.
The Trap Door equation:
For every 400 skill points, the Trap Doors's damaging attributes increase.

---|---|
60 | 2,000 |
61 | 2,400 |

Animation
- The toon will pull out a trigger box.
- The toon activates the switch, and a trap door appears in front of the targeted cog, making a distinctive noise.
- When the cog with the Trap Door is successfully lured by a Lure gag, the cog will look below to see the Trap Door, and the trap door's door will vanish, leaving a hole.
- The cog will fall in the hole, as the Trap Door slowly disappears.
- The cog falls down from the top of the screen, falling on its belly.
- The cog will slowly get up and will either return back to normal or be destroyed.
Trading Card Description
Trivia
- The Trap Door is capable of destroying a level six cog or a level seven if organic.
- The animation is similar to the Quicksand's animation, the only difference being the trap being set and how the cog falls into the trap.
- Unlike other SOS toons from the Vice President that damage cogs or heal toons, the Trap SOS toons use a level five gag, as oppose a level six gag.
- The trap door is the strongest level five gag that damages cogs.
- Unlike all other level five gags, a toon can only carry a maximum of five trap doors, which also goes for the other trap gags.
- If the Trap Door's hinges are on the right, any Lure gag will work (in that round).
- Along with Quicksand, Trap Door is also one of the gag trading cards to feature a doodle on it.
- The Downsizer is weak to this gag, because they always fall for things that make them fall down
- Strangely, when a cog falls from the Trap Door, it comes back from the sky, unlike the trading card where the cogs fall into a bin.
